Boxing Up My Exercise Program

I used to be fit! Back in 2005 to 2006 I was in the best shape of my adult life, I think! I was working out with a trainer and living in Hawaii where it was too hot to cover up — very motivating. Look at these pix of me lifting weights!

When we moved to an altitude of 9200 feet though, that all went to hell in a handbasket. I found it so hard to breathe doing cardio here that the exercise soon petered out. Instead of running 4 to 6 miles a day as I was accustomed, I could barely run 3 miles in a row and then when the snow hit I just couldn’t get motivated at all. Now of course I am regretting it! I have to lose so much extra weight and I am trying really hard to get back to the way I was. It is coming off steadily and I am gradually adding more and more back into my exercise routine. I am lucky to have a fabulous gym in my garage and of course you know about all the hiking I’m doing. A few more months and I should be good to go and back into some of the beautiful clothes I have hanging sadly in my wardrobe. I will post occasionally about the different types of exercise I’m doing. I have to switch it up to keep interested.

Here is what I added back in today! What a killer workout that was! I’m feeling good though.
