Walking Through the Weekends

North Catamount Reservoir
Eva and Mary at the Reservoir

Most Sundays I do a longer hike with Mary and Eva. Last weekend we hiked along the Catamount trail to North Catamount Reservoir, crossed the dam and hiked back along Ridge and Limber Pine trail. It was about 7.5 miles I think. It took us about 2 hrs and 15 mins. It was a gorgeous day, thankfully with a bit of breeze to temper the sunshine. I got a little sunburned on teh back of my calves –must have missed that part –but other than that it was lovely. Weare all going to Buena Vista next weekend to climb our first 14er! We are so excited. It will be me and John, Dennis and Eva, Mike and Brenda and Mary, I think. I have my Geography midterm on Saturday morning and then we are leaving for Buena Vista at about 3 p.m. We will stay overnight there and have a nice meal befoer hitting the sack and then we start the climb at 6 a.m. Sunday. I’ll blog about that one when I get back. Meanwhile here are some photos from the Catamount Hike this last weekend.
